The first section of the railway was opened on July 16, 1882.
Zsuzsi Forest Railway was built in a unique way with a gauge of 950 mm. The track was made up of dog-head rails laid on walls, without a separate substructure, laid on the rammed sand soil.
The railway line remained until Hármashegyalja, the track section between Hármashegyalja and NyÃrbéltek was dismantled, and most of the vehicles were transferred to other light railways.
A wooden house with a buffet and outdoor lighting was built in Hármashegyalja, which is still waiting for those who want to go on a trip.
