It is one of the most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings in Hungary.
The County Hall in Debrecen was built on the site of the city´s first inn, the Fejérló Inn. The facade of its building is highly articulated: it is dotted with decorative elements of the famous Zsolnay factory in Pécs, flower garlands and statues of four armed hajdus. A bronze statue of Árpád stands at the top of Huszártornya, while the coat of arms of Hajdú county can be seen in the middle of the facade.
The hall of the building is the Árpád Hall, the walls and ceiling of which are decorated with stucco and the coats of arms of the county´s settlements. Two conquering leaders can be seen on its decorative window panes.
