The renovated Bényi Gallery - formerly the Árpád Bényi Hall - has been playing a decisive role in the fine arts life of Debrecen and the region for 16 years.
A defining part of the gallery´s identity is to continue to care for and present the work of esteemed local artists in the future, to establish collaborations with recognized domestic artists, and to create a new community with local and regional economic actors who patronize and support contemporary art.
The exhibition space with a floor area of 310 m2 is located in the Kölcsey Center and the I. and II. the Foyer on the first floor has been expanded with commercial functions from the year 2022, which initiates a discourse between local values, advanced art and market players; creating a cultural space where the artist, the art-loving public and private collectors intending to invest in contemporary works of art, as well as actors from business and economic organizations, can meet each other.
