With its magnificent collections of archeology, local history, fine arts, ethnography and cultural anthropology, as well as individual relics of history, Déri Múzeum is a priceless treasure trove of Hungarian culture.
The most popular exhibits of the museum are the huge canvases that make up the monumental “Christ-trilogy” created by the painter Munkácsy Mihály,displayed in the venue called Munkácsy terem [Munkácsy hall]. Apart from the permanent exhibitions, the museum also offers a number of temporary exhibitions that are routinely replaced with new ones on a monthly basis.
